U.S. Says Jet Fighter Came Close to Iranian Passenger Plane Over Syria

An American F-15 jet fighter flew inside of approximately one,000 meters of an Iranian passenger airplane in the vicinity of a U.S. air base in Syria on Thursday, a U.S. protection official explained.

The jet executed a visual inspection of the Mahan Air passenger airplane to ensure the safety of coalition staff at the base in al-Tanf, explained Capt. Invoice City, a spokesman for U.S. Central Command, which is responsible for navy operations in the Center East.
