Carnival starts cancelling next year’s cruises

The world’s most important cruise business has started cancelling subsequent year’s trips in a refreshing blow to an business devastated by the coronavirus pandemic.

Former FTSE a hundred cruise operator Carnival blamed border limitations and the “continued uncertainty of airline travel” for axing Princess Cruises sailings in early 2021.

Jan Swartz, Princess Cruises president, said: “We share in the disappointment of this cancellation for attendees of our entire world cruises.”

The cancellations observe an announcement by Cunard, also owned by Carnival, that companies will be suspended until March subsequent year.

All sailings have been cancelled for Queen Elizabeth until Mar twenty five,  Queen Mary two until Apr eighteen, and Queen Victoria until May well 16, Cunard said.
