In Rare Move, U.S. Intelligence Agencies Confirm Investigating if Coronavirus Emerged From Lab Accident

WASHINGTON—The U.S. intelligence local community publicly verified it is attempting to establish regardless of whether the coronavirus could have escaped from a laboratory in Wuhan, the metropolis where the pandemic began.

In an unusual community assertion, the Business office of the Director of Countrywide Intelligence, or ODNI, also explained that U.S. intelligence organizations concur with the wide scientific consensus that “the Covid-19 virus was not manmade or genetically modified.”
