‘Cashew apple value addition to help farmers’

Value addition of cashew apple by self-aid teams can aid farmers, in accordance R Selvamani, Main Executive Officer of Dakshina Kannada Zilla Panchayat.

Talking at the ‘Constitution Day’ celebration at the Directorate of Cashew Investigation (DCR) at Puttur in Dakshina Kannada district on Friday, he reported the establishment of cashew farmers’ cooperative modern society and the enhancement of the value of cashew apple as a result of self-aid teams would aid address most of the complications of the farmers. He also gave details on the benefits extended by the governing administration for cashew processing things to do in rural areas.
